Nixon Book

July 17, 2018

272 pages into the Nixon book.

Enjoying it so far. Don’t really know much about Nixon beyond the obvious running against Kennedy & Watergate stuff and the Oliver Stone film of course, which I seem to remember enjoying but of which has to be, by its very nature, heavily fictionalised.
Reads like he had some deep-seated self-esteem issues and couldn’t forgive any slights and had couldn’t just creep a win but had to dominate and destroy.

Triumph Of The City Book Cover

Only just got into it but it is very well written, a nice easy read that deals with some provocative and interesting ideas about city living, worldwide. I got it from my local library so check out yours and take a gander.

Fela This Bitch of A Life

I don’t know if this is a reprint of a book with a very similar title or a new book. I suspect the former. Be interesting to see how it sells.

Book Chapter publication
