Death Of A President

I’m half way through reading Robert Caro’s four volume biog of LBJ, “hey, hey LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?” and in volume two Means of Ascent there was a reference to William Manchester’s Death of A President a book about the assassination of JFK so I thought i’d read that as well. Really interesting writing style. A mixture of bias and forensic examination. I didn’t realise the 50th anniversary of the assassination is coming up soon.

I now want to re-watch Oliver Stone’s JFK, “Back and to the left, back and to the left, back and to the left*”

*it might be ‘to the right’, i’ve not seen it for years and can’t remember
